Miami’s own Latin Jazz Grammy nominee, Martin Bejerano, and Dutch jazz pianist, Mike Del Ferro, in an innovative Dranoff 2 Piano performance of Opera’s most famous arias from Carmen, Tosca, and Rigoletto sung by lyric soprano Ella Marcus. Mike and Martin‘s beautiful convergence of opera and jazz set the stage for a genre of bending tapestry rich with classical roots and a popping passion for jazz.

The Dranoff 2 Piano presents West African Beats in its 3rd annual concert celebrating the soul of high art and music that was brought to the Americas along with 2 pianos and African percussion featuring the Martin Bejerano and Jim Gasior Piano Duo and Haitian American trumpeter Jean Caze and jazz ensemble.
Special pre-concert talk starting at 4:30 pm with performance starting at 5:00 pm
PIANO SLAM 2024 is a classical, Afropop and spoken word mashup featuring Miami’s top teen poets and winners of a countywide competition. Inspired by this year’s theme, “Rhythms and Writings of Restoration,” these young poets will perform alongside classical-piano duo Inesa Gegprifti and Asiya Korepanova, The New Canon Chamber Collective and DJ Anthony Laurencio. The show is directed by Tanisha Cidel and will feature a performance of Chucho Valdés’ “Suite Afrocubana a Lico Jiménez.”
Latin 2 Piano showcases Miami’s large and diverse Latin population and the artistic richness and evolution of the waves of music that have come across the 90 miles of water from Cuba. Performance takes place at the Sanctuary of the Arts in Coral Gables.
