Join us for a day of Science, Arts, Community, and Skill-Sharing at Miccosukee Casino & Resort on October 4, 2024
MASS 2024: EVERGLADES IN FLUX

All fundraising at this event will benefit the Miccosukee Education Fund.
MASS 2024 will convene folks from many communities, including indigenous voices, artists, scientists, students, policymakers, activists, nonprofits, businesses, AND YOU – to learn, make new alliances, connect with the land, to support positive change, in-joy art, and have a good time. Ultimately, we are concerned with the “EVERGLADES IN FLUX” and we strive to bring communities together to inspire action so that we can support the Healing of the Greater Everglades.
MASS 2024 will feature a morning and afternoon session of science panelists that will be discussing their work on Everglades status and trends as well as threats to the ecosystem posed by sea level rise and a changing south Florida climate. MASS is proud to feature the work of professors and graduate students from Florida International University, constituting collective science efforts produced through the Florida Coastal Everglades Long-Term Ecological Research (FCE–LTER) program.
MASS 2024 will balance the science symposium with arts and community workshops and activations.

Tickets for the Airboat Field Trip will be available the week of the Event through a separate Eventbrite Link.
This event will span 24-Hours. A lot of activities will happen during the day, and the evening will include a Film Festival, and later a Dance Party.
