WDNA Scholarship Promotion

For the 14th consecutive year WDNA will be awarding full music scholarships to deserving high school and college students studying jazz.

Scholarship winners will have the opportunity to attend the “Virtually Yours” 2020 Litchfield Jazz Camp, That’s right! This years’ Litchfield Jazz Camp will be a VIRTUAL experience with over (20) hours of interactive, engaging instruction. Plus, online theory assessment, specialized practice routines, masterclasses, webinars and valuable interaction with faculty members, and much more.

The scholarship winners will receive fully paid tuition and connectivity instruction to participate.

Contest Methodology

All students, 13 to 26-years-old are eligible to compete for the scholarships by submitting a video audition, no more than three minutes in length. Each video audition will be judged by a panel of jazz experts and minimum of (6) scholarships will be awarded to the students with the highest scores.

Complete contest rules and details will be submitted to students who register.

Registration is now open and video audition must be submitted by June 30, 2020.

About the Litchfield Jazz Camp

The annual Litchfield Jazz Camp is directed by saxophone great, Don Braden. Now in its 24th year, the camp boasts an impressive list of instructors who are regarded as some the world’s most distinguished jazz musicians. With instructional specialization for a wide array of instruments, students are afforded the opportunity to learn from the masters in a unique setting and many of the camp’s alumni have gone on to successful careers.
