Creole Jazz with Mushy Widmaier and Harold Staco

WDNA is proud to present a fresh perspective in the world of jazz with its Kreyol Jazz program, which has evolved to expand the horizons of jazz music through culture, race, and countries worldwide.

“We are excited to be back behind the mic, as an on-air tag team hosting Kreyol Jazz on WDNA,” say Harold Staco and Mushy Widmaier. Together, they bring over three decades of experience in radio, sharing a variety of music genres with listeners.

Harold Staco, with his extensive background in the music industry as a record executive for several French Caribbean labels, combines 15 years of experience as a veteran at WDNA. Mushy Widmaier, a renowned jazz pianist, composer, arranger, teacher, lecturer, ethnomusicologist, and recording artist, has spent decades in both the music and radio industries. Together, they are once again bringing a rich and distinct musical mix to the airwaves in the genre of Kreyol jazz.
